Symptom
You do not have an SSL certificate installed or have a certificate installed, but you still see this or a similar error message after logging in to Wordpress:
"Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection, so we strongly recommend that you deploy your entire website over an HTTPS connection to ensure the security of customer data."
Cause
The website is not set up to serve all requests via https://. The mere presence of an SSL certificate does not mean that all traffic is now redirected from http:// to https://. This can and must be set separately.
Solution
1. Make sure that the webspace control panel has a SSL certificate for the domain.
2. Change the URLs in the general Wordpress settings to start with https://. If all pages, images, scripts and CSS files in Wordpress are loaded via https://, you can additionally activate SEO 301 redirection to the encrypted connection in the "Hosting Settings" of the webspace control panel. This is optional.
